| * | ARM: mach-shmobile: kzm9g: add zboot supportUlrich Hecht2014-02-043-0/+456
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adds support to run the kernel on the uninitialized KZM9G board, using for instance the mask ROM boot loader or JTAG. This patch tries to emulate the style of the corresponding "mackerel" implementation. The DRAM controller setup code has been adapted from u-boot. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since 387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).) To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc (with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer). Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to reverify the series. * tag 'dropmachtimexh-v2' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux: ARM: ixp4xx: fix timer latch calculation ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, too ARM: rpc: stop using <mach/timex.h> ARM: ixp4xx: stop using <mach/timex.h> input: ixp4xx-beeper: don't use symbols from <mach/timex.h> ARM: at91: don't use <mach/timex.h> ARM: ep93xx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: mmp: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: netx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: sa1100: stop using mach/timex.h clocksource: sirf/marco+prima2: drop usage of CLOCK_TICK_RATE rtc: pxa: drop unused #define TIMER_FREQ rtc: at91sam9: include <mach/hardware.h> explicitly ARM/serial: at91: switch atmel serial to use gpiolib Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While <mach/timex.h> isn't used for multi-platform builds since long it still is for "normal" builds. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | r8a7779 INTC needs IRL pin mode settings to determine behavior of IRQ0 - IRQ3, and r8a7779_init_irq_extpin() is controlling it via irlm parameter. | | * ARM: shmobile: Shared APMU SMP support code without DTMagnus Damm2013-09-301-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce shared APMU SMP code for mach-shmobile. Both SMP boot up and CPU Hotplug is supported. This version does not use DT but if needed this will be added as an incremental feature patch. The code is designed around CONFIG_NR_CPUS and should in theory support any number of APMUs, however due to the current DT-less static design only a single APMU is supported. | | * ARM: shmobile: Introduce shmobile_boot_sizeMagnus Damm2013-09-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce shmobile_boot_size that can be used by future SMP code to determine the size of the boot code that needs to be copied to internal SRAM. | | * ARM: shmobile: Expose shmobile_invalidate_start()Magnus Damm2013-09-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Expose shmobile_invalidate_start() in common.h for mach-shmobile. This function will be used for boot of secondary processors on future non-SCU SMP platforms. Signed-off-by: Magnus Damm <damm@opensource.se> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
| | * ARM: shmobile: Remove unused shmobile_smp_init_cpus()Magnus Damm2013-09-201-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove shmobile_smp_init_cpus() since all SMP platforms in mach-shmobile now rely on DT for CPU core description instead of for instance determining number of cores from the SCU. | | * ARM: shmobile: Introduce shmobile_smp_cpu_disable()Magnus Damm2013-09-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce the shared CPU Hotplug function shmobile_smp_cpu_disable() for mach-shmobile. It is useful for the case when all CPUs may be hotplugged, including CPU 0. Signed-off-by: Magnus Damm <damm@opensource.se> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add r8a7791 CMT support via channel 0 of CMT0. At this point the CMT is used for clock event operation, but in the future the arch timer will be the main timer and the CMT will be used for deep sleep wake up only. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add SCIF serial port support to the r8a7791 SoC by adding platform devices for SCIFA0 -> SCIFA5 as well as SCIFB0 -> SCIFB2 and SCIF0 -> SCIF5 together with clock bindings. DT device description is excluded at this point since such bindings are still under development. | | * ARM: shmobile: Introduce per-CPU SMP boot / sleep codeMagnus Damm2013-08-061-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add per-CPU SMP boot / sleep code that can be used by all SoCs included in mach-shmobile. The boot code reads out the per-CPU MPIDR id value and matches it with the value stored for any CPU number, and if there is a match and the boot function is set as well then the boot function will be executed. The sleep code simply uses WFI and then jumps back to the boot code to see if anyone has asked to wake up that CPU, if not it will sleep again.
