* media: Remove depends on HAS_DMA in case of platform dependencyGeert Uytterhoeven2018-05-281-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove dependencies on HAS_DMA where a Kconfig symbol depends on another symbol that implies HAS_DMA, and, optionally, on "|| COMPILE_TEST". In most cases this other symbol is an architecture or platform specific symbol, or PCI. Generic symbols and drivers without platform dependencies keep their dependencies on HAS_DMA, to prevent compiling subsystems or drivers that cannot work anyway. This simplifies the dependencies, and allows to improve compile-testing. Note: - The various VIDEOBUF*DMA* symbols had to loose their dependencies on HAS_DMA, as they are selected by several individual drivers. * media: davinci: allow build vpbe_display with COMPILE_TESTMauro Carvalho Chehab2018-04-171-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Except for some includes (with doesn't seem to be used), this driver builds fine with COMPILE_TEST. So, add checks there to avoid building it if ARCH_DAVINCI is not selected. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
* media: davinci: allow building isif codeMauro Carvalho Chehab2018-04-171-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | The only reason why this driver doesn't build with COMPILE_TEST is because it includes mach/mux.h. It turns that none of the macros defined there are used. So, get rid of it, in order to allow it to build with COMPILE_TEST. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
* [media] davinci: Switch from V4L2 OF to V4L2 fwnodeSakari Ailus2017-06-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | The DaVinci VPIF capture driver V4L2 OF support was added after the V4L2 OF framework got removed. Switch VPIF capture driver to V4L2 fwnode. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com>
* [media] davinci: add i2c Kconfig dependenciesArnd Bergmann2015-11-191-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | All the davinci media drivers are using the i2c framework, and fail to build if that is ever disabled, e.g.: media/platform/davinci/vpif_display.c: In function 'vpif_probe': media/platform/davinci/vpif_display.c:1298:14: error: implicit declaration of function 'i2c_get_adapter' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] This adds explicit Kconfig dependencies so we don't see the driver options if I2C is turned off. * [media] davinci: add V4L2 dependenciesArnd Bergmann2015-02-021-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The davinci media drivers use videobuf2, which they enable through a 'select' statement. If one of these drivers is built-in, but the v4l2 core is a loadable modules, we end up with a link error: drivers/built-in.o: In function `vb2_fop_mmap': :(.text+0x113e84): undefined reference to `video_devdata' drivers/built-in.o: In function `vb2_ioctl_create_bufs': :(.text+0x114710): undefined reference to `video_devdata' drivers/built-in.o: In function `vb2_ioctl_reqbufs': :(.text+0x114ed8): undefined reference to `video_devdata' drivers/built-in.o: In function `vb2_ioctl_querybuf': :(.text+0x115530): undefined reference to `video_devdata' To solve this, we need to add a dependency on VIDEO_V4L2, which enforces that the davinci drivers themselves can only be loadable modules if V4L2 is not built-in, and they do not cause the videobuf2 code to be built-in. * [media] media: davinci: remove unneeded dependency ARCH_OMAP3Prabhakar Lad2014-09-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | this patch removes unneeded dependency of ARCH_OMAP3 on VIDEO_DM6446_CCDC. Also the top level platform Makefile descended into davinci/ without any dependency so just drop the dependency obj-y, as obj-$(CONFIG_ARCH_DAVINCI) already exists. * [media] be sure that HAS_DMA is enabled for vb2-dma-contigMauro Carvalho Chehab2014-08-261-0/+6
| | | | | | | vb2-dma-contig depends on HAS_DMA, but the Kbuild doesn't take it into account at select. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>
* [media] enable COMPILE_TEST for media driversMauro Carvalho Chehab2014-08-261-4/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | There are several arch-specific media drivers that don't require asm-specific includes and can be successfully compiled on x86. Add COMPILE_TEST dependency for them, in order to allow a broader test on those drivers. That helps static analysis tools like Coverity to discover eventual troubles there. * [media] media: davinci: kconfig: fix incorrect selectsSekhar Nori2013-04-141-68/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | drivers/media/platform/davinci/Kconfig uses selects where it should be using 'depends on'. This results in warnings of the following sort when doing randconfig builds. warning: (VIDEO_DM6446_CCDC && VIDEO_DM355_CCDC && VIDEO_ISIF && VIDEO_DAVINCI_VPBE_DISPLAY) selects VIDEO_VPSS_SYSTEM which has unmet direct dependencies (MEDIA_SUPPORT && V4L_PLATFORM_DRIVERS && ARCH_DAVINCI) The VPIF kconfigs had a strange 'select' and 'depends on' cross linkage which have been fixed as well by removing unneeded VIDEO_DAVINCI_VPIF config symbol. Similarly, remove the unnecessary VIDEO_VPSS_SYSTEM and VIDEO_VPFE_CAPTURE. They don't select any independent functionality and were being used to manage code dependencies which can be handled using makefile. Selecting video modules is now dependent on all ARCH_DAVINCI instead of specific EVMs and SoCs earlier. This should help build coverage. Remove unnecessary 'default y' for some config symbols. While at it, fix the Kconfig help text to make it more readable and fix names of modules created during module build. Rename VIDEO_ISIF to VIDEO_DM365_ISIF as per suggestion from Prabhakar. This patch has only been build tested; I have tried to not break any existing assumptions. I do not have the setup to test video, so any test reports welcome. * [media] media: davinci: vpbe: enable building of vpbe driver for DM355 and DM365Lad, Prabhakar2012-12-211-16/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch allows enabling building of VPBE display driver for DM365 and DM355. This also removes unnecessary entry VIDEO_DM644X_VPBE in Kconfig, which could have been done with single entry, and appropriate changes in Makefile for building. * [media] Kconfig: merge all customise options into just oneMauro Carvalho Chehab2012-08-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of having 3 options to allow customizing the media sub-drivers (tuners, I2C drivers, frontends), merge all of them into just one. That simplifies the life for users, as they can just keep this untouched. Life for developers is also simpler, as there's now just one Kconfig item to remember, for the ancillary sub-drivers providing supports for chips that could change from one board design to another. * [media] rename drivers/media/video as .../platformMauro Carvalho Chehab2012-08-151-0/+121
The remaining drivers are mostly platform drivers. Name the dir to reflect it. It makes sense to latter break it into a few other dirs. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
