* soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Allow reading firmware-name from DTBjorn Andersson2021-04-051-3/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The WLAN NV firmware blob differs between platforms, and possibly devices, so add support in the wcnss_ctrl driver for reading the path of this file from DT in order to allow these files to live in a generic file system (or linux-firmware). The new property is optional and the code falls back to the old filename if the property isn't specified. * soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Avoid string overflowNiklas Cassel2018-09-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'chinfo.name' is used as a NUL-terminated string, but using strncpy() with the length equal to the buffer size may result in lack of the termination: drivers//soc/qcom/wcnss_ctrl.c: In function 'qcom_wcnss_open_channel': drivers//soc/qcom/wcnss_ctrl.c:284:2: warning: 'strncpy' specified bound 32 equals destination size [-Wstringop-truncation] strncpy(chinfo.name, name, sizeof(chinfo.name)); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This changes it to use the safer strscpy() instead. * soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Fix increment in NV uploadBjorn Andersson2018-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | hdr.len includes both the size of the header and the fragment, so using this when stepping through the firmware causes us to skip 16 bytes every chunk of 3072 bytes; causing only the first fragment to actually be valid data. Instead use fragment size steps through the firmware blob. * soc: qcom: smd: Transition client drivers from smd to rpmsgBjorn Andersson2017-03-281-22/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | By moving these client drivers to use RPMSG instead of the direct SMD API we can reuse them ontop of the newly added GLINK wire-protocol support found in the 820 and 835 Qualcomm platforms. As the new (RPMSG-based) and old SMD implementations are mutually exclusive we have to change all client drivers in one commit, to make sure we have a working system before and after this transition. * soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Make wcnss_ctrl parent the other componentsBjorn Andersson2016-06-241-19/+106
| | | | | | | | | | | | | We need the signal from wcnss_ctrl indicating that the firmware is up and running before we can communicate with the other components of the chip. So make these other components children of the wcnss_ctrl device, so they can be probed in order. The process seems to take between 1/2-5 seconds, so this is done in a worker, instead of holding up the probe.
