* rt2x00: Implement HW encryptionIvo van Doorn2008-08-2211-30/+686
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Various rt2x00 devices support hardware encryption. Most of them require the IV/EIV to be generated by mac80211, but require it to be provided seperately instead of within the frame itself. This means that rt2x00lib should extract the data from the frame and place it in the frame descriptor. During RX the IV/EIV is provided in the descriptor by the hardware which means that it should be inserted into the frame by rt2x00lib. * libertas_tf: main.c, data paths and mac80211 handlersLuis Carlos Cobo2008-08-221-0/+666
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch contains most of the libertastf driver, just lacking command helper functions and usb specific functions. Currently, monitor, managed, ap and mesh interfaces are supported. Even though this driver supports the same hardware as the "libertas" driver, it uses a different (thin) firmware, that makes it suitable for a mac80211 driver. * ath5k: explicitly check skb->lenHarvey Harrison2008-08-221-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | ieee80211_get_hdrlen_from_skb internally checks that the skb is long enough to hold the full header, or it returns 0 if not. The check in ath5k does not check this case and assumes it always got the actual header length which it then checks against the skb->len plus some headroom. Change to ieee80211_hdrlen which always returns the hdrlen and keep the existing headroom check. Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: John W. * ath5k: rates cleanupBruno Randolf2008-08-224-329/+171
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | cleanup the rates structures used by ath5k. instead of separate driver and mac80211 rate structures we now setup a static ieee80211_rate array and use it directly. no conversion between two different rate structures has to be done any more. a lot of unused and confusing junk was deleted. renamed ath5k_getchannels into ath5k_setup_bands because this is what it does. rewrote it to copy the bitrates correctly for each band. this is necessary for running different hardware with the same driver (e.g. 5211 and 5212 based cards). add special handling of rates for AR5211 chipsets: it uses different rate codes for CCK rates (which are actually like the other chips but with a 0xF mask). setup a hardware code to rate index reverse mapping table for getting the rate index of received frames. the rates for control frames which have to be set in ath5k_hw_write_rate_duration are now in one single array. drivers/net/wireless/ath5k/ath5k.h: Changes-licensed-under: ISC drivers/net/wireless/ath5k/base.c: Changes-licensed-under: 3-Clause-BSD drivers/net/wireless/ath5k/base.h: Changes-licensed-under: 3-Clause-BSD drivers/net/wireless/ath5k/hw.c: Changes-licensed-under: ISC Signed-off-by: Bruno Randolf <br1@einfach.org> Signed-off-by: John W. * rtc: rtc-ds1374: fix 'no irq' case handlingAnton Vorontsov2008-08-201-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On a PowerPC board with ds1374 RTC I'm getting this error while RTC tries to probe: rtc-ds1374 0-0068: unable to request IRQ This happens because I2C probing code (drivers/of/of_i2c.c) is specifying IRQ0 for 'no irq' case, which is correct. * rtc: fix double lock on UIE emulationAtsushi Nemoto2008-08-201-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With commit 5ad31a575157147b43fa84ef1e21471661653878 ("rtc: remove BKL for ioctl()"), RTC_UIE_ON ioctl cause double lock on rtc->ops_lock. The ops_lock must not be held while set_uie() calls rtc_read_time() which takes the lock. Also clear_uie() does not need ops_lock. This patch fixes return value of RTC_UIE_OFF ioctl too. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Recent of_platform changes made of_bus_type_init() overwrite the bus type's .dev_attrs list, meaning that the "name" attribute that ibmebus devices previously had is no longer present. This is a user-visible regression which breaks the userspace eHCA support, since the eHCA userspace driver relies on the name attribute to check for valid adapters. | * | | [SCSI] ibmvfc: Fixup host state during reinitBrian King2008-08-161-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If an ELS is received while the virtual fibre channel adapter is going through its discovery, a flag is set which causes discovery to get re-driven. However, the hosts's state does not get set back to IBMVFC_INITIALIZING and scsi_block_requests does not get called again, which can result in queuecommand ops getting sent during discovery. This should not occur and may cause problems. One example is that we may no longer be logged into the target we send the command to, resulting in a failure which should not have occurred. | * | | [SCSI] ibmvfc: Fix another hang on module removalBrian King2008-08-161-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This fixes a hang on module removal. The module removal code was setting the hosts's state to IBMVFC_HOST_OFFLINE before tearing down the kernel thread, but, due to a bug in ibmvfc_wait_while_resetting, was not waiting for the kernel thread's offlining work to be done prior to destroying the kernel thread, which left the scsi host in a blocked state which we never got out of. | * | | [SCSI] ibmvscsi: Fixup desired DMA value for shared memory partitionsBrian King2008-08-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When running ibmvscsi in a shared memory partition, it must provide a default value for the amount of DMA resources it will need in order to perform reasonably well. This was being calculated in sectors rather than bytes, as it should. This patch fixes this. | * | | [SCSI] megaraid_sas: remove sysfs dbg_lvl world writeable permissionsJoe Malicki2008-08-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | /sys/bus/pci/drivers/megaraid_sas/dbg_lvl defaults to being world-writable, which seems bad (letting any user affect kernel driver behavior and logging level). This turns off group and user write permissions, so that on typical production systems only root can write to it.
