* [drivers] Sort PCI_ROM() entries numericallyGeert Stappers2024-02-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Done with the help of this Perl script: $MARKER = 'PCI_ROM'; # a regex $AB = 1; # At Begin @HEAD = (); @ITEMS = (); @TAIL = (); foreach $fn (@ARGV) { open(IN, $fn) or die "Can't open file '$fn': $!\n"; while (<IN>) { if (/$MARKER/) { push @ITEMS, $_; $AB = 0; # not anymore at begin } else { if ($AB) { push @HEAD, $_; } else { push @TAIL, $_; } } } } continue { close IN; open(OUT, ">$fn") or die "Can't open file '$fn' for output: $!\n"; print OUT @HEAD; print OUT sort @ITEMS; print OUT @TAIL; close OUT; # For a next file $AB = 1; @HEAD = (); @ITEMS = (); @TAIL = (); } Executed that script while src/drivers/ as current working directory, provided '$(grep -rl PCI_ROM)' as argument. * [legal] Include full licence text for all GPL2_OR_LATER filesMichael Brown2015-02-261-2/+12
| | | | | | | | Add the standard warranty disclaimer and Free Software Foundation address paragraphs to the licence text where these are not currently present. Signed-off-by: Michael Brown <mcb30@ipxe.org>
* [build] Rename gPXE to iPXEMichael Brown2010-04-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Access to the gpxe.org and etherboot.org domains and associated resources has been revoked by the registrant of the domain. Work around this problem by renaming project from gPXE to iPXE, and updating URLs to match. Also update README, LOG and COPYRIGHTS to remove obsolete information. Signed-off-by: Michael Brown <mcb30@ipxe.org>
* [legal] Add a selection of FILE_LICENCE declarationsMichael Brown2009-05-181-0/+2
| | | | | Add FILE_LICENCE declarations to almost all files that make up the various standard builds of gPXE.
* [pci] Add driver_data field to struct pci_device_idThomas Miletich2009-03-261-11/+11

* [x86_64] Fix assorted 64-bit compilation errors and warningsMichael Brown2008-11-191-1/+0
| | | | | | Remove various 32-bit assumptions scattered throughout the codebase. The code is still not necessarily 64-bit clean, but will at least compile.
* [i386] Change [u]int32_t to [unsigned] int, rather than [unsigned] longMichael Brown2008-11-191-2/+2
| | | | | | This brings us in to line with Linux definitions, and also simplifies adding x86_64 support since both platforms have 2-byte shorts, 4-byte ints and 8-byte long longs.
* Remove *_fill_nic() calls, and directly set nic->ioaddr and nic->irqno .Marty Connor2007-12-131-3/+8
| | | | | | | | | | This needs to be done manually because if the irq() routine is implemented then we want something like "nic->irqno = pci->irqno;", else we do "nic->irqno = 0;" nic->ioaddr may also need to be set carefully. Also added local variables to end of many files, for emacs indentation to match kernel style (tab does 8 space indent).

* Restructured PCI subsystem to fit the new device model.Michael Brown2006-05-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Generic PCI code now handles 64-bit BARs correctly when setting "membase"; drivers should need to call pci_bar_start() only if they want to use BARs other than the first memory or I/O BAR. Split rarely-used PCI functions out into pciextra.c. Core PCI code is now 662 bytes (down from 1308 bytes in Etherboot 5.4). 284 bytes of this saving comes from the pci/pciextra split. Cosmetic changes to lots of drivers (e.g. vendor_id->vendor in order to match the names used in Linux).
* Header rearrangement.Michael Brown2006-04-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | I want to get to the point where any header in include/ reflects a standard user-level header (e.g. a POSIX header), while everything that's specific to gPXE lives in include/gpxe/. Headers that reflect a Linux header (e.g. if_ether.h) should also be in include/gpxe/, with the same name as the Linux header and, preferably, the same names used for the definitions.
