* Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"WIP/20May2024-nextTom Rini2024-05-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini2024-05-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. * arm: socfpga: Remove <common.h> and add needed includesTom Rini2024-05-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | Remove <common.h> from all mach-socfpga files and when needed add missing include files directly. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* common: Drop linux/printk.h from common headerWIP/23Sep2023Simon Glass2023-09-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | This old patch was marked as deferred. Bring it back to life, to continue towards the removal of common.h Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_* to CFG_SYS_*Tom Rini2022-12-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The rest of the unmigrated CONFIG symbols in the CONFIG_SYS namespace do not easily transition to Kconfig. In many cases they likely should come from the device tree instead. * global: Convert simple_strtoul() with hex to hextoul()Simon Glass2021-08-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | It is a pain to have to specify the value 16 in each call. Add a new hextoul() function and update the code to use it. Add a proper comment to simple_strtoul() while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass2021-02-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. * command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass2020-05-181-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* common: Drop init.h from common headerSimon Glass2020-05-181-0/+1

* common: Drop net.h from common headerSimon Glass2020-05-181-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion. Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming, etc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* common: Move hang() to the same header as panic()Simon Glass2020-01-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | At present panic() is in the vsprintf.h header file. That does not seem like an obvious choice for hang(), even though it relates to panic(). So let's put hang() in its own header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Migrate a few more files] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

* SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

* arm: socfpga: enable data/inst prefetch and shared override in the L2Dinh Nguyen2015-10-171-0/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Update the L2 AUX CTRL settings for the SoCFPGA. Enabling D and I prefetch bits helps improve SDRAM performance on the platform. Also, we need to enable bit 22 of the L2. By not having bit 22 set in the PL310 Auxiliary Control register (shared attribute override enable) has the side effect of transforming Normal Shared Non-cacheable reads into Cacheable no-allocate reads. Coherent DMA buffers in Linux always have a Cacheable alias via the kernel linear mapping and the processor can speculatively load cache lines into the PL310 controller. With bit 22 cleared, Non-cacheable reads would unexpectedly hit such cache lines leading to buffer corruption. Signed-off-by: Dinh Nguyen <dinguyen@opensource.altera.com>
