* Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"WIP/20May2024-nextTom Rini2024-05-203-3/+0
| | | | | | | | As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini2024-05-193-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. * dm: treewide: Do not use the return value of simple uclass iteratorMichal Suchanek2022-10-291-7/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | uclass_first_device/uclass_next_device return value will be removed, don't use it. With the current implementation dev is equivalent to !ret. It is redundant to check both, ret check can be replaced with dev check, and ret check inside the iteration is dead code. * w1: replace dt detection by automatic detectionKory Maincent2021-05-131-2/+74
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch changes the functioning of the detection of w1 devices. The old way was a comparison between detected w1 and the ones described in the device tree. Now it will just look for the driver matching the family id of the w1 detected. The patch is inspired from Maxime Ripard code. * dm: treewide: Rename 'platdata' variables to just 'plat'Simon Glass2020-12-133-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | We use 'priv' for private data but often use 'platdata' for platform data. We can't really use 'pdata' since that is ambiguous (it could mean private or platform data). Rename some of the latter variables to end with 'plat' for consistency. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: treewide: Rename auto_alloc_size members to be shorterSimon Glass2020-12-133-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces verbosity and makes it easier to read. Coincidentally it also ensures that every declaration is on one line, thus making dtoc's job easier. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' featuresSimon Glass2020-02-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers. One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox which needs to use the system malloc() in some files. Move the compatibility features into a separate header file. * w1: fix occasional enumeration failureMartin Fuzzey2018-12-061-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Sometimes enumeration fails (about 1 in 50 times on my custom board). The underlying reason is probably electrical but Linux does not have the problem. Comparing the Linux / u-boot implementations shows that Linux retries the error case whereas u-boot aborts early. Removing the early abort in u-boot fixes the problem. * w1: fix data abort if no one wire bus master presentMartin Fuzzey2018-11-011-6/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | When the "w1 bus" command is used with no bus master present a data abort may occur. This is because uclass_first_device() returns zero, but sets the output struct udevice pointer to NULL in the no device found case. Fix w1_get_bus() to account for this and return an error code as is expected by the callers.
